Every Tuesday at 10am, the network will undergo scheduled maintenance. Please DO NOT work on your website from 10 to 11am Brisbane time on Tuesdays. If your site appears differently after that time of day, simply empty your cache from within the dashboard and refresh your browser if necessary. (First, just try reloading your page within the browser.) ‘Cache’ is basically short-term memory and after an update at the back end, sometimes the old memory and new memory will clash. The new memory will automatically update over a short period of time (replacing the old memory) but how long that takes will depend on a few factors. To speed that up, we can manually refresh the cache. The caching plugin we use is W3 Total Cache.

Regarding uploads, each item must be 250Kb or less. The file will fail to upload if larger than that. If an image needs to be resized before uploading, this can be done via free programs such as FastStone Photo Resizer.

Keep in mind that the bigger the image file size, the slower the website will be to load, and this in turn will affect your website’s search engine ranking.
